Terms & Conditions

I advise all clients to read through my terms and conditions before making a booking. These are put in place to safeguard KS Makeup and Beauty and to ensure the best standard of service is offered to each of my clients. When booking an appointment, you are agreeing to all the KS Makeup and Beauty terms and conditions stated below.

Booking Appointments

When booking an appointment please state the treatment you would like and the times and dates you are available as this will make the bookings process quicker and easier.

All new lash extensions, lash lifts, brow laminations and tint clients require a patch test at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. If you require a patch test also state the date and time you are available for this when booking. If you do not turn up for your patch test unfortunately your appointment will be cancelled unless you sign a waiver stating that you did not want to have the patch test and any reaction to any treatments that require it are at your own risk and KS Makeup and Beauty will not take any responsibility for any reactions caused by the treatment.

A non-refundable booking fee will be required before any appointment is secure, this will be taken off the final cost of your treatment.

If you cannot make your appointment, please let me know with at least 48 hours' notice so that we can rearrange your appointment. Anything less than 48 hours you will lose your booking fee.

I do not offer refunds under any circumstances. My time and material have been used and the prices of the treatments are to cover this. If there is a problem, you will need to notify me immediately to allow me to rectify the problem. I am able to offer a free fix/removal within 48 hours of your treatment. However, please note that any time after this, you may be required to pay. If you are unable to attend a correction/removal within 48 hours for a valid reason, then I will try and be flexible depending on my availability.

When booking appointments, you automatically agree to all policies stated above and the policies which are specific to your treatment. Any appointment booked within 24 hours of the appointment date and time will need to be paid in full to secure booking. If you should cancel this appointment, you will not be refunded.

Online Booking

A non-refundable booking fee will be taken to book your appointment. This is to secure and confirm your appointment. This can either be done via cash or bank transfer. You must give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or change your appointment to be able to transfer your booking fee. If notice is less than 48 hours, you will lose your booking fee and a new one will need to be paid to secure a new appointment. If you cancel/change your appointment within 24 hours of your appointment, you will be charged 100% of the treatment amount. I require 72 hours to cancel / change any pamper days or you will be charged 100% of the treatment.

Appointment and Consultations

A message will be sent to the mobile contact number stored on our client records 48 hours prior to booking. It is the responsibility of the client to inform us of any change in contact details. KS Makeup and Beauty takes no responsibility for unreceived appointment texts/emails and urges all clients to add any appointments to their own personal diaries as a back up at all times.

All treatments and procedures are carried out to the highest standard and comply with medical standards and guidelines. However very rarely, outcomes do not meet client's expectations. There is no guarantee to the outcome, it is at the client's own risk that these treatments are performed. We do not offer refunds. All treatments are available to clients over 16 years. Results can vary on an individual basis.

Appointment Confirmation

For appointments and complementary consultations, we reserve the right to charge a £25 fee for non-attendance, where we have not received 24 - 48 hour notice of cancellation.

Missed Appointment

All missed or cancelled appointments, which do not adhere to the notice period, will lose any deposit paid or incur a set charge (dependent on treatment). All account debts must be paid before being able to book and secure another appointment with KS Makeup and Beauty. This charge has been put in place to give KS Makeup and Beauty the opportunity to accommodate other clients needing appointments at busy periods.

Cancellation Policy

For clients that need to change or cancel an appointment, i must be notified of this at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. Cancellation of appointments must be made via the phone; we do not accept any cancellations via email, messenger or text.

Arrival Time

I am mobile and aim to be at your appointment at the designated time, however, i do have a salon and ask that all clients arrive 15 minutes prior to their appointment. Lateness can result in your appointment being re scheduled.

Consent/Consultation Forms

A number of our treatments require you to fill out a consent form prior to the procedure. These forms will be filled out at your appointment or patch test. This will be filed for future reference and treated with the utmost confidence in line with the DPA 1998.

Offer/Promotions

From time to time we offer discounted treatments, online and other traditional media formats. These are subject to terms and conditions, which are usually, but not limited to, time, date, availability and quota restrictions.

We reserve the right to withdraw such offers at any time.

Gift Voucher Terms and Conditions

KS Makeup and Beauty ask Clients to protect and treat their Gift Voucher as cash. If lost, anyone can redeem the value. Lost, stolen or damaged cards cannot be replaced.

KS Makeup and Beauty Gift Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded.

KS Makeup and Beauty Gift Vouchers are valid for the period of time indicated on the voucher. The standard redemption period is 6 months from date of issue.

Promotional Offers sold via Gift Vouchers will follow these terms and conditions. Refer to offer terms & conditions.

The responsibility of using the Gift Voucher prior to expiry lies with the recipient. No pre-expiry reminder will be sent from KS Makeup and Beauty. Any remaining balance after the expiry date will be cancelled.

KS Makeup and Beauty reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of the Gift Vouchers at any time where considered reasonable and necessary to do so. The current conditions will be available at all times at www.ksmakeupandbeauty.co.uk. This does not affect your legal rights. All refunds of goods or services purchased with KS Makeup and Beauty Gift Voucher will be made in accordance with KS Makeup and Beauty Refund Policy. This does not affect your statutory rights

Treatment Course Terms & Conditions

Purchase of courses of the same treatment entitles the guest to a discount off the total cost. These discounted treatments then have a validity period.

Courses of treatments listed on the price list are valid for 6 months only from date of purchase.

Promotional courses are valid for 6 months only from date of purchase and can only be purchased during the promotional period.

Treatments contained within a course cannot be transferred to other guests or exchanged for alternative treatments.

Courses cannot be redeemed for cash or refunded.

Course Packages

Courses are neither part nor fully non-refundable. We understand circumstances change, for example pregnancy, and in these cases we will delay your course for you to resume at later date at our discretion. In extreme circumstances where your course cannot be resumed we may agree a part refund deducting any sessions used at the full individual price plus any fees incurred. If the salon can not fulfil your course for any reason, your course or remaining sessions will be refunded or exchanged for other services.

Any courses delayed due to COVID-19 circumstances will not be refunded but made available to use at a later date. These circumstances are completely out of our control as a business and in agreeing to purchase a course with us, you are agreeing to the terms set out.

Noise Levels

I ask all of my clients to keep noise to a minimum during your visit and insist that all mobiles are switched to ‘silent’ to ensure you received the best treatment possible. It also enables you take full enjoyment out of your treatment Taking calls during your treatment will mean time is taken out and you will not received the full treatment as i will have appointments after yours.

Children

For insurance reasons and the comfort of other clients, we have a strict “no children” policy at KS Makeup and Beauty. We cannot accept any responsibility for a child’s welfare and so for the safety of us, the salon and the child, we ask our clients not to bring them.

I am also mobile and whilst i know you may have children, i do ask that they are looked after by someone whilst you are getting your treatments done. This enables you to get the best out of your treatment, allows me to get the treatment done in the required appointment slot and not run over and also ensures that they cannot touch any of my equipment as some of this could be dangerous to children if used incorrectly.

Miscellaneous

Please feel free to provide KS Makeup and Beauty with any feedback, concerns or comments you may have about any treatments or salon.

Please inform KS Makeup and Beauty at the earliest if you have any concerns that you have any infection or any other abnormal reaction or condition with respect to your treatments.

Please do not touch any of the equipment. If handled incorrectly it can cause injury.

KS Makeup and Beauty is fully qualified and insured for all treatments that are on offer and has taken and undergone extensive training. KS Makeup and Beauty needs to be informed of any change in any medication including the Covid 19 vaccine as this can effect the outcome of your treatment. If you have had the Covid19 booster vaccine you cannot have a treatment for 2 weeks prior to the injection and 2 weeks after. You should also note you still may have a reaction to treatment after this period and another patch test is required before any further treatments.

Please arrive with clean eyelashes and free from any eye makeup or moisturising cream. Lash extensions do not stick to dirty lashes. If i have to take longer to clean your lashes this will eat into your time for your lashes and not all lashes may be lashed.

Washing lashes is a must. I am not responsible for any eye infections or lash damage that occurs from poor lash hygiene. You have been supplied with the aftercare advice and this is up to you to follow this to ensure the health and longevity of your lashes. Please be aware lashes naturally shed, however if more lashes than usual fall out, please send me a picture and i will aim to fix these within 48 hours of your appointment. After 48 hours of the appointment there may be a small charge.

Arriving on time is a must! After 15 minutes your appointment may go ahead but you may not get the fullness you are wanting due to the reduced time left for your treatment. If you are too late, then your appointment will be cancelled, and you will be charged 50% of the treatment price.

£10 non-refundable deposit is required when booking an appointment for a full set of lash extensions. £5 non-refundable deposit is required for when booking an infill appointment. These deposits are only transferrable if i am notified more than 48 hours prior to your appointment. Within 48hours of your appointment your deposit is non-refundable.

For lash infill appointments, these must be made between 2-3 weeks. Any time after that will be treated and charged as a full set. You must have between 40-50% of your lash extensions remaining to qualify for an infill. Clients must be 16 years or over.

Ensure you have enough time set aside for your appointment. Full sets between 2-3 hours and infills between 1.5 - 2 hours.

If you are not happy with the outcome of your lashes you must notify me before you leave the appointment. This will allow me to fix the problems. No refunds are available for any of these treatments. Time and materials have been used for your appointment and the price is to cover this. Threats to ruin my business through social media will not be tolerated and will be dealt with legally.
